- 6 to 8 apples
- 1 cup [250 mL] brown sugar
- 1/2 cup [100 g] sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons [26.25 g] all-purpose flour
- 1 cup [250 mL] cream or sour cream
- 2 [9-inch / 23-cm each] pie shells

- Preheat oven to 450°F [230°C].
- Rinse, peel and core apples; cut apples into segments.
- Into a bowl, mix together half of brown sugar, sugar, cinnamon and flour.
- Evenly spread mixture into one of pie shells.
- Evenly arrange apple segments on top of mixture.
- Into a bowl, mix together remaining brown sugar and cream or sour cream; pour all over apple segments.
- Top with remaining pie shell; cut slits into dough.
- Bake pie into preheated oven, for 10 minutes.
- Lower oven temperature to 325°F [160°C].
- Bake pie for approximately 45 minutes longer, until apple segments are tender.
