Flaky Cheese Olive Bites
Comments: These do not have to be frozen, but are nice to have on hand.
  • 1 cup [225 g] grated sharp cheese
  • 3 tablespoons [45 g] softened butter
  • 1/2 cup [70 g] flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] salt
  • 2 pinches paprika
  • Stuffed olives
  • Well mix together grated cheese, softened butter, flour, salt and paprika.
  • Wrap each olive, using approximately 1 teaspoon [5 mL] cheese mixture, into grated mixture.
  • Then, into wax paper, separately wrap each cheese wrapped olive; freeze.
  • Just before serving, preheat oven to 400°F [200°C].
  • Unwrap needed cheese wrapped olives.
  • Transfer olives onto an ungreased baking sheet.
  • Bake wrapped olives into preheated oven, for 12 to 15 minutes.
  • Serve, really hot.
