- 8 cups [2 L] apple juice or cider
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 10 whole cloves
- 1 small nutmeg nut
- 1 piece fresh ginger [optional]
- Juice of 2 oranges
- Juice of 2 lemons
- 1 tablespoon [15 mL] brown sugar

- Simmer together apple juice or cider, cinnamon sitcks, whole cloves, nutmeg nut and, if desired ginger, for 3 hours.
- Stir in orange juice, lemon juice and brown sugar.
- Serve hot, into a punch bowl.
