- 8 cups [1.12 kg] all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons [10 mL] salt
- 3 tablespoons [45 mL] baking powder
- 3/4 cup [175 g] shortening

- Sift together flour, salt and baking powder.
- Cut shortening into flour mixture.
- Reserve into a dry environment, until ready to use.
