- 1 cup [140 g] flour
- 3 teaspoons [15 mL] baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 g] sugar
- 3/4 cup [190 mL] ground Virginia ham
- 2/3 cup [180 mL] milk
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1 tablespoon [15 g] melted butter

- Preheat oven to 400°F [200°C].
- Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
- Mix in ground ham, well beaten egg and melted butter.
- Drop a spoonful of dough into each greased muffin tin.
- Bake into preheated oven, for 20 to 30 minutes.
