- 1 3/4 cups [245 g] flour
- 3 leveled teaspoons [15 mL] baking powder
- 1/8 teaspoon [0.5 mL] salt
- 2/3 cup [160 mL] ground Virginia ham
- 1 1/4 cups [310 mL] milk
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1 tablespoon [15 g] melted butter

- Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
- Into a small bowl, beat egg yolks.
- Beat ground ham, beaten egg yolks and melted butter into flour mixture.
- Whip egg whites until firm; fold into mixture.
- Bake dough into a waffle iron, until golden browned.
