- 3 to 4 pounds [1.4 à 1.8 kg] uncut spareribs
- Salt
- 2 medium-size onions, sliced
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] vinegar
- 2 teaspoons [10 mL] salt
- 1 tablespoon [15 mL] Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons [10 mL] brown sugar
- 3/4 cup [190 mL] catsup
- Pinch red pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] black pepper
- 3/4 cup [190 mL] water

- Preheat oven to 350°F [180°C].
- Cut spareribs into individual, approximately 8-rib servings.
- Arrange spareribs into a roasting pan; salt.
- Top all over with onion slices.
- Into a bowl, mix together vinegar, salt, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, catsup, red pepper, paprika, chili powder, black pepper and water.
- Pour into roasting pan; cover pan.
- Bake into preheated oven, for 90 minutes.
- Uncover and higher oven temperature to 375°F [190°C].
- Bake for 20 minutes longer.
