- 1/2 pound [227 g] butter
- 1 ready-to-cook rabbit, into parts
- 2 onions, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup [250 mL] water

- Melt butter into a large casserole.
- Add rabbit pieces and chopped onions; salt and pepper.
- Pour in water.
- Cover and simmer for approximately 3 hours.
