Mushroom Sauce
Servings: 1 3/4 cups [440 mL]

  • 2 tablespoons [30 g] butter
  • 1/2 pound [227 g] fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons [17.5 g] flour
  • 1 cup [250 mL] chicken broth
  • 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon [0.5 mL] pepper
  • Melt butter into a frypan.
  • Fry mushroom slices for 5 minutes.
  • Stir in flour.
  • Slowly pour in chicken broth.
  • Simmer until thickened, stirring.
  • Salt, pepper and serve, really hot.
