- 2 tablespoons [30 g] butter
- 1/2 pound [227 g] fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tablespoons [17.5 g] flour
- 1 cup [250 mL] chicken broth
- 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] salt
- 1/8 teaspoon [0.5 mL] pepper

- Melt butter into a frypan.
- Fry mushroom slices for 5 minutes.
- Stir in flour.
- Slowly pour in chicken broth.
- Simmer until thickened, stirring.
- Salt, pepper and serve, really hot.
