- 2 cups [500 mL] fresh scallops
- 1/2 cup [115 g] butter
- 1 cup [250 mL] cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] freshly made breadcrumbs
- 2/3 cup [160 mL] cream or whole milk
- Salt and pepper, to taste

- Preheat oven to 350°F [180°C].
- Rinse and sort scallops.
- Melt butter; mix in cracker and bread crumbs.
- Spread 1/3rd crumbs mixture into a baking dish.
- Top with half of scallops.
- Pour in half of cream or milk; salt and pepper.
- Repeat layers.
- Sprinkle with remaining crumbs mixture.
- Bake into preheated oven, for approximately 25 minutes.
