Scalloped Scallops
  • 2 cups [500 mL] fresh scallops
  • 1/2 cup [115 g] butter
  • 1 cup [250 mL] cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] freshly made breadcrumbs
  • 2/3 cup [160 mL] cream or whole milk
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Preheat oven to 350°F [180°C].
  • Rinse and sort scallops.
  • Melt butter; mix in cracker and bread crumbs.
  • Spread 1/3rd crumbs mixture into a baking dish.
  • Top with half of scallops.
  • Pour in half of cream or milk; salt and pepper.
  • Repeat layers.
  • Sprinkle with remaining crumbs mixture.
  • Bake into preheated oven, for approximately 25 minutes.
