Cheese Sauce for Vegetables
Comments: This sauce is equally good served over asparagus tips, onions, cauliflower flowerets or cabbage pieces.
IngredientsPreparation
  • 1/2 pound [227 g] cheese, to taste
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] cream
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] mustard
  • Salt, to taste
  • Flour [optional]
  • Simmer together cheese, cream, mustard and salt, until thickened.
  • If needed, to get desired consistency, sift in just a little flour at a time.
