Maple Syrup Pecan Pie
Serving: 1 [10-inch / 25-cm] pie
  • 2 cups [500 mL] pecan halves
  • 1 [10-inch / 25-cm] pie shell
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup [200 g] sugar
  • Vanilla, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons [30 g] melted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups [375 mL] dark corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] maple syrup
  • Preheat oven to 300°F [150°C].
  • Evenly arrange pecan halves into pie shell.
  • Beat together eggs and sugar.
  • Mix together vanilla and melted butter; stir into beaten eggs mixture.
  • Mix in dark corn syrup and maple syrup.
  • Pour over pecan halves, into pie shell.
  • Bake into preheated oven, for 45 minutes.
