Warm Dip from Virginia
Comments: Serve along with bread sticks.
  • 1 cup [250 mL] chopped pecans
  • 2 teaspoons [10 g] butter
  • 1 pound [454 g] cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon [60 mL] milk
  • 5 ounces [142 g] dried beef, really finely minced
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] garlic salt
  • 1 cup [250 mL] sour cream
  • 4 teaspoons [20 mL] minced green onion
  • Preheat oven to 350°F [180°C].
  • Brown chopped pecans into melted butter; set aside.
  • Well mix together softened cream cheese, milk, finely minced dried beef, garlic salt, sour cream and minced green onion.
  • Transfer into a 6-cup [1.5-L] baking dish.
  • Garnish mixture with reserved browned chopped pecans.
  • Bake dip into preheated oven, for 20 minutes.
  • Serve.
