- 6 ounces [170 g] frozen spinach
- 6 slices bacon, cut into small pieces
- 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 8 ounces [227 g] low-fat cream cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 ounces [56 g] pecans, chopped

- Microwave spinach on 'MAXIMUM' for 4 to 5 minutes.
- Well press between two plates to extract as much as possible of the liquid; grossly chop.
- Microwave together bacon pieces, chopped onion and crushed garlic on 'MAXIMUM' for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring once.
- Mix in spinach, cream cheese, salt, pepper and pecans.
- Refrigerate for 15 minutes before serving, along with crackers.
