Poached Egg

  • 1 tablespoon [15 mL] water
  • 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] vinegar
  • 1 egg
  • Mix together water and egg into an individual 4-ounce [125 mL] glass custard mold.
  • Microwave mixture on 'HIGH' for 30 seconds.
  • Break in egg then delicately pierce the egg yolk using a wooden pick.
  • Cover mold with a small plate; microwave egg on 'MEDIUM' for 1 minute.
  • Remove from microwave oven and leave egg to rest, still covered, for 1 minute.
  • Drain, and enjoy!
