Easy Meat Loaf

  • 1 pound [454 g] ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] milk
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] dry onion soup mix
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] catsup
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup [115 g] grated Swiss cheee
  • Well mix together all ingredients; shape mixture into a round or oval olaf.
  • Transfer meat loaf into a microwave safe dish.
  • Cover meat loaf with waxed paper; microwave on 'HIGH' for 5 minutes.
  • Turn dish and microwave for 5 minutes more.
  • Drain then cover meat loaf with al foil.
  • Leave to rest for 10 minutes before slicing; serve.
