- 1 tablespoon [15 g] butter
- 1 tablespoon [15 mL] vegetable oil
- 1 onion, minced
- 1 cup [250 mL] white wine
- 14 ounces [398 mL] canned or homemade brown sauce
- 3 to 4 teaspoons [15 to 20 mL] Dijon mustard
- 3 tablespoons [45 g] softened butter
- 3 tablespoons [45 mL] minced parsley

- Into a bowl, well beat together butter, vegetable oil and minced onion.
- Stir in white wine.
- Microwave on 'HIGH' for 5 to 8 minutes, stirring 3 times while cooking [white wine must be reduced without drying out the onion].
- Microwave brown sauce for 1 minute on 'HIGH'.
- Stir in reduced white wine mixture.
- Into a small bowl, combine Dijon mustard, softened butter and minced parsley; stir into sauce.
- Microwave for 1 minute on 'HIGH', stir well and serve.
