- 1 cup [250 mL] semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup [250 mL] white chocolate chips, divided
- 1 tablespoon [15 g] + 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 g] shortening, divided [do not use butter, margarine nor oil]
- About 24 salted or unsalted [3 x 2-inch / 7.5 x 5-cm] pretzels

- Line tray with wax paper.
- In medium microwave-safe bowl, transfer semi-sweet chocolate chips, 2/3 cup [160 mL] white chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon [15 g] shortening.
- Microwave on 'HIGH' 1 minute; stir.
- Microwave on 'HIGH' for 1 to 2 minutes more, stirring every 30 seconds, until chips are melted when stirred.
- Whisk vigorously until smooth.
- With a fork, dip each pretzel into chocolate mixture; tap fork on side of bowl to remove excess chocolate.
- Arrange coated pretzels side-by-side onto prepared tray.
- In small microwave-safe bowl, transfer remaining white chocolate chips and remaining 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] shortening.
- Microwave on 'HIGH' for 15 to 30 seconds or until chips are melted when stirred with whisk; using fork tines, drizzle across pretzels.
- Refrigerate until chocolate is set.
- Store into an airtight container into a cool, dry environment.
