- 1 1/2 cups [375 mL] chopped pecans or walnuts
- 16 [1-ounce / 28-g each] squares semi-sweet chocolate
- 1 [10 1/2-ounce / 284-mL] can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 teaspoons [10 mL] vanilla

- Spread pecans or walnuts onto a baking sheet.
- Brown into a preheated 350°F [180°C] oven for 10 minutes; cool.
- Into a large bowl, melt chocolate squares with sweetened condensed milk in microwave on 'HIGH' for 2 to 3 mintues, until chocolate is almost all melted; mix until completely melted.
- Stir in vanilla and cooled pecans or walnuts.
- Spread into an 8-inch [20-cm] square pan, lined with aluminum foil.
- Refrigerate for 2 hours, until firm.
- Cut into squares.
