Sylvie's Vanilla or Chocolate Fudge [microwave]

Comments: This vanilla fudge is the only one that I can successfully make.
If desired, start by melting 2 [1-ounce / 28-g each] squares semi-sweet chocolate, before adding the first 3 ingredients, and get some chocolate fudge.
  • 1 cup [200 g] sugar
  • 1 cup [250 mL] brown sugar
  • 1 cup [250 mL] heavy cream [35% m.s.g.]
  • 1 tablespoon [15 g] butter [do not use margarine]
  • 5 large marshmallows, cut into pieces
  • In a 6-cup [1.5-L] microwavable dish, mix together sugar, brown sugar and cream.
  • Microwave on 'HIGH' [100%] for 7 minutes.
  • Stir; microwave for 4 minutes more, on 'HIGH' [100%].
  • Add butter and marshmallow pieces.
  • Mix, with an electric mixer, until mixture is no longer shiny and thickening.
  • Pour into a buttered pie plate; freeze or refrigerate.
