- 4 ounces [113 g] sesame seeds
- 2 ounces [56 g] chopped almonds
- 2 ounces [56 g] raisins
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] unsweetened orange juice
- Few drops vanilla extract
- 2 ounces [56 g] carob powder
- 2 ounces [56 g] poIyinsaturated margarine
- 18 blanched almonds, halved

- Crumble sesame seeds into a food processor or a coffee grinder; mix with chopped almonds.
- Plump raisins: microwave raisins in orange juice, covered, on 'MAXIMUM' , for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes; set aside for 1 minute.
- Mix raisins into chopped almonds mixture.
- Mix in vanilla and carob powder.
- Melt margarine, covered, for 45 to 60 seconds on 'MAXIMUM; leave to cool slightly before mixing into almonds mixture.
- Pour into a square dish, to cool; cut into 36 squares.
- Decorate squares with blanched almond halves.
