- 2 cups [500 mL] brown sugar
- 3/4 cup [190 mL] evaporated milk
- 2/3 cup [150 g] butter
- 2 cups [500 mL] icing sugar
- Vanilla, to taste
- Nuts [optional]

- Microwave together brown sugar, evaporated milk and butter, on 'HIGH', for 10 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes.
- Leave to rest for 5 minutes.
- Beat in icing sugar and vanilla, with an electric mixer, for 8 minutes.
- If desired, stir in nuts.
