- 1 tablespoon [15 g] butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] vanilla
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] baking soda
- 1 cup [200 g] sugar
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] yellow corn syrup
- 1 1/2 cups [375 mL] salted peanuts

- Mix together melted butter, vanilla and baking soda; set aside.
- Into a large bowl, stir togethe sugar and yellow corn syrup.
- Microwave on 'HIGH' for 2 1/2 minutes; remove from oven.
- Stir fast and microwave for 2 1/2 minutes more.
- Add salted peanuts and mix up fast.
- Microwave on 'HIGH' for 2 minutes.
- Stir fast and microwave for 2 minutes more.
- Quickly stir in reserved butter mixture.
- Pour or drop onto a greased cookie sheet.
- Leave cool, then break into pieces.
