- Arrange flowerets in the center of a long, microwave-safe dish.
- Peel and slice stems diagonally; arrange pieces at both ends of dish.
- Or, arrange flowerets in the center of a microwave-safe dish, cut stems all around.
- Or, washed and peel broccoli head whole, without removing flowerets, after cutting slits here and there in stem, using the tip of a knife [broccoli will be of a nice dark green and really tender].
