Sauteed Vegetables

  • 2 tablespoons [30 g] butter or margarine
  • 1 [10 1/2-ounce / 298-g] pack frozen sweet corn kernels
  • 1/2 green pepper, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper
  • Preheat a microwave-safe browning dish on 'MAXIMUM' for 5 minutes, or according to manufacturer's instructions.
  • Add butter or margarine; mix in sweet corn kernels, finely chopped green pepper and onion.
  • Cover with slightly open plastic wrap; microwave on 'MAXIMUM' for 2 to 2 1/2 minutes.
  • Stir; microwave for 2 to 2 1/2 minutes more, until really hot.
  • Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Leave to rest for 2 to 3 minutes before serving.
