- 2 potatoes, peeled and sliced

- Remove stalks from celery; peel, half and slice each stalk into 1 to 2-inch [2.5 to 5-cm] slices.
- Do not forget that for cooking, larger stalks are the best just as center ones are best eaten raw.
- Arrange celery slices into a microwave-safe dish; add potato slices and pour in consomme.
- Stir, cover and microwave on 'HIGH' for 10 minutes.
- With the tip of a sharp kinfe, check for doneness.
- When done, leave to rest for 5 minutes.
- Drain, reserving cooking liquids; mash.
- Mix in butter, salt, savory and pepper; cream, pouring in, if needed, a little cooking liquids.
- Transfer into a serving dish and, if needed, cover and reheat on 'MEDIUM' for 2 minutes before serving.
