Mushrooms and Small Peas

In the winter time, small frozen peas can be used; they taste really good right from the microwave-oven.

  • 2 tablespoons [30 g] butter
  • 3 green onions, finely minced
  • 2 cups [500 mL] freshly thinly sliced mushrooms
  • 2 cups [500 mL] frozen small peas
  • 1 teaspoon [5 g] sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] basil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Transfer butter and green onions into a 4-cup [1-L] microwave-safe dish.
  • Microwave on 'HIGH' for 2 minutes.
  • Mix in mushroom slices, small peas, sugar and basil.
  • Stir; microwave on 'HIGH' for 6 minutes.
  • Mix well; salt and pepper.
With an auto-sensor
  • Melt butter on 'HIGH' for 1 minute.
  • Mix in all remaining ingredients, except salt and pepper; cover with plastic wrap.
  • Program your oven to 'Vegetable Soft' [you will hear the sound when it is ready].
  • Mix well; salt and pepper.
