- 4 onions, chopped
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- 4 carrots, diced
- 4 celery stalks, sliced
- 1 pound [1 kg] ground beef
- 1 pound [1 kg] ground pork
- 3 [10-ounce / 284-mL] each cans cream of tomato soup concentrate
- 1 [6-ounce / 170-mL] can tomato paste
- 1 [28-ounce / 796-mL] can tomatoes
- 8 bay leaves
- 2 whole chiles
- Salt and pepper, to taste

- Really well mix together all ingredients into a large casserole.
- Bring mixture to a boil; leave to simmer slowly, for 2 hours.
- Serve, removing bay leaves and chiles.
