Lorraine's Spaghetti Sauce

  • 1 pound [454 g] ground beef
  • 1 sweet red pepper, membranes removed and seeded, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • Minced garlic or garlic salt, to taste
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Pinch of chili powder
  • Into a casserole, stirring, brown togehter ground beef, chopped sweet red pepper, chopped onion and minced garlic or garlic salt.
  • Add bay leaf and sprinkle mixture with chili powder.
  • Stir, then bring mixture to a boil.
  • Leave mixture to simmer until all ingredients are well done, sauce to desired consistency.
  • Remove bay leaf, and serve.
