- 1 pound [454 g] ground beef
- 1 sweet red pepper, membranes removed and seeded, chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- Minced garlic or garlic salt, to taste
- 1 bay leaf
- Pinch of chili powder

- Into a casserole, stirring, brown togehter ground beef, chopped sweet red pepper, chopped onion and minced garlic or garlic salt.
- Add bay leaf and sprinkle mixture with chili powder.
- Stir, then bring mixture to a boil.
- Leave mixture to simmer until all ingredients are well done, sauce to desired consistency.
- Remove bay leaf, and serve.
