Marguerite's Tomato Soup

Comments: If desired, just before serving, really slowly pour approximately 1 cup [250 L] milk into soup.
  • 1 [28-ounce / 796-mL] can tomatoes with juice
  • 3 [28-ounce / 796-mL] each cans water
  • 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon [5 g] sugar
  • Vermicelli noodles, to taste
  • Bring together tomatoes with juice, water, baking soda and sugar to a boil.
  • Leave to boil for 10 minutes.
  • Stirring, mix in vermicelli noodles; leave to simmer until tender.
