- 4 [1-ounce / 28-g] each squares cooking chocolate
- Butter [as big a piece as 1 egg]
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 2 1/2 cups [625 mL] icing sugar, sifted
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] vanilla

- Into the top part of a double boiler, melt together chocolate squares and butter over hot, yet not boiling water.
- Remove from heat and leave to cool.
- Into a bowl, beat together beaten eggs and sifted icing sugar.
- Then mix in cooled melted chocolate mixture and vanilla.
- Pour into a mold; refrigerate fudge until set, before cutting it into squares.
