- 4 cups [1 L] fresh cranberries, rinsed
- 2 cups [400 g] sugar
- 1 cup [250 mL] water

- Into a large casserole, mix together rinsed cranberries, sugar and water.
- Bring mixture to a boil over high heat.
- Leave to boil for 5 to 10 minutes stirring, until cranberries just start to burst.
- Remove from heat and pour into small bowls, or hot sterilized jars.
- Seal jars and leave to cool completely.
- Cover cooled mixture in bowls if using.
- Refrigerate cooled cranberries until ready to serve.
