- 1/2 cup [115 g] butter or margarine
- 3/4 cup [175 g] sugar
- 2/3 cup [90 g] flour
- 1 teaspon [5 mL] baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] cinnamon
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] cold water
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 pound [454 g] cooking apples

- Preheat oven to 350°F [180°C].
- Cream together butter or margarine and sugar.
- Into a bowl, mix together all dry ingredients [flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt].
- Alternately with cold water, mix dry ingredients into first mixture; mix in beaten eggs.
- Peel and core apples; dice then mix apple dices into dough.
- Pour dough into a buttered mold.
- Bake pudding into preheated oven, until golden brown.
