- 1 cup [250 mL] corn syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] salt
- 1/4 tablespoon [3.75 g] butter
- 1 cup [250 mL] brown sugar
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] milk
- 2 teaspoons [10 mL] vanilla

- Into a casserole, bring corn syrup, salt, butter, brown sugar and milk to a boil.
- Leave to boil for 5 minutes, stirring.
- Remove from heat and mix in vanilla.
- Serve warm, or leave sauce to cool completely.
