- 1 cup [250 mL] brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons [26.25 g] flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 cups [500 mL] boiling water
- 2 tablespoons [30 g] butter
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] rum flavoring or just a little rum, to taste

- Into a frypan, mix together brown sugar, flour and salt.
- Stirring, over medium heat, pour boiling water into mixture.
- Stir to completely dissolve brown sugar.
- Remove from heat and mix in butter; stir until completely melted and well mixed into mixture.
- Then well mix in rum flavoring, or rum.
- Serve immediately.
