Delicious Rum Sauce

  • 1 cup [250 mL] brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons [26.25 g] flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 cups [500 mL] boiling water
  • 2 tablespoons [30 g] butter
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] rum flavoring or just a little rum, to taste
  • Into a frypan, mix together brown sugar, flour and salt.
  • Stirring, over medium heat, pour boiling water into mixture.
  • Stir to completely dissolve brown sugar.
  • Remove from heat and mix in butter; stir until completely melted and well mixed into mixture.
  • Then well mix in rum flavoring, or rum.
  • Serve immediately.
