- 1 cup [140 g] flour
- 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] salt
- 2 teaspoons [10 mL] baking powder
- 3/4 cup [150 g] sugar
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] cooking oil
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] milk
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] vanilla
- 1 cup [250 mL] brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] cocoa powder
- 1 3/4 cups [440 mL] boiling water

- Preheat oven to 350°F [180°C].
- Into a bowl, sift together flour, salt, baking powder and sugar.
- Mix together oil, milk and vanilla; mix into dry ingredients.
- Pour dough into a pudding mold.
- Mix together brown sugar and cocoa powder; sprinkle mixture all over dough.
- Slowly pour boiling water all over.
- Bake into preheated oven, for approximately 45 minutes.
