Almond Paste

  • 8 ounces [227 g] almond powder
  • 1/3 cup [75 g] sugar
  • 3/4 cup [190 mL] sifted icing sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon [15 g] butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] almond extract
  • Mix togehter almond powder, sugar and sifted icing sugar.
  • Into a clean bowl, beat together egg, melted butter and almond extract.
  • Well mix egg mixture into almond powder mixture, until really well combined.
  • Refrigerate almond paste until really cold, before using.
