Chocolate Fudge

  • 1 cup [250 mL] brown sugar
  • 1 cup [200 g] sugar
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] chocolate chips or 2 [1-ounce /28-g] each chocolate squares
  • 6 ounces [190 mL] evaporated milk
  • 1 knob butter
  • Into a casserole, stirring using a wooden spoon, bring together brown sugar, sugar, chocolate chips or squares and evaporated milk to a boil.
  • Mix in butter then leave to boil for 10 minutes more, still stirring.
  • Remove from heat; transfer casserole into cold water.
  • Stir to cool fudge, before pouring it into a greased dish.
  • Leave to harcen at room temperature, before cutting fudge into squares.
