Meatballs in Sauce

  • 1 pound [454 g] ground beef
  • 1/4 pound [113 g] ground pork
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] milk
Sauce
  • 3/4 cup [190 mL] vinegar
  • 3/4 cup [190 mL] water
  • 1 tablespoon [15 mL] Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] onion salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] garlic salt
  • 2 teaspoons [10 mL] cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon [15 mL] water
  • Mix together ground beef, ground pork and milk.
  • Shape mixture into small balls.
  • Into a casserole, mix together vinegar, 3/4 cup [190 mL] water, Worcestershire sauce, onion salt and garlic salt.
  • Bring sauce to a boil, then add meatballs.
  • Leave to simmer slowly for 30 minutes.
  • Dilute cornstarch into 1 tablespoon [15 mL] water; stirring pour mixture into hot mixture.
  • Leave sauce to thicken to taste before serving meatballs, coated with sauce.
