- 17 1/2 ounces [500 g] lean ground beef or lamb
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 cup [250 mL] freshly made breadcrumbs
- 2 teaspoons [10 mL] oil
- Flour
- Tomato sauce [optional]
- Plain yogurt [optional]
- Mashed potatoes [optional]
- Sour cream [optional]

- Into a bowl, well mix together ground beef or lamb, chopped onion, egg yolk and freshly made breadcrumbs.
- Shape mixture into approximately 20 tiny meatballs; ligthtly flour meatballs.
- Heat oil into a non-stick frpan over medium heat.
- Brown meatballs into hot oil for approximately 15 minutes, until no longer pink inside.
- Drain meatballs.
- For 8 to 9 month old babies, these delicious meatballs are perfect to eat with their fingers, tomato sauce or plain yogurt on the side to dip in.
- Another delicious dip would be mashed potatoes, mashed along with sour cream or plain yogurt.
