Tiny Noodles Tomato Meat Sauce for Babies and Toddlers
Servings: 2 baby servings - 1 toddler
IngredientsPreparation
  • 3 tablespoons [45 mL] mini [soup] pasta noodles such as 'stars'
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon [15 mL] finely chopped onion
  • 3 tablespoons [45 mL] lean ground beef or turkey
  • 3 tablespoons [45 mL] homemade tomate sauce
    or
    1 tablespoon [15 mL] tomato paste
    +
    2 tablespoons [30 mL] water
  • Boil pasta noodles into salted boiling water according to packaging instructions; drain and reserve.
  • Then heat olive oil into a frypan; well soften but do not brown chopped onion into hot oil.
  • Crumble in ground beef or turkey; brown stirring over low heat until meat is no longer pink.
  • Well mix in tomato sauce or tomato paste, already diluted into water.
  • Cook for 1 to 2 minutes mores, for flavours to develop.
  • Mix hot sauce into reserved drained pasta noodles, and serve.
