Campers' Golden French Toasts [camp fire]

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespons [30 g] sugar
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] milk
  • 6 slices of bread
  • Butter
  • Maple syrup or any desired homemade jam
  • Well beat together eggs, sugar and milk into a large bowl.
  • Dip each slice of bread into mixture.
  • Fry slices of bread, a few at a time into a hot buttered frypan over camp fire turning once, until golden on both sides.
  • Serve French toasts coated with maple syrup, or along with homemade jam.
