- Nonstick Spray
- 1 1/4 cups [175 g] all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 1 1/4 cups [310 mL] buttermilk
- 1/4 cup [60 g] sugar
- 1 heaping teaspoon [5 mL] baking powder
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] baking soda
- 1/4 cup [60 mL] cooking oil
- Pinch of salt

- Preheat a skillet over medium heat [either use a pan with a nonstick surface or apply a little nonstick spray].
- Into a blender or using an electric mixer, combine all of the remaining ingredients until smooth.
- Pour spoonfuls of batter into the hot pan, into 5-inch [12.7 cm] circles.
- When the edges appear to harden, flip pancakes over [they should be golden brown].
- Cook pancakes on the other side for same amount of time, until golden brown.
