- 2 pounds [900 g] round steak
- 1/4 cup [35 g] flour
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] salt
- 1/2 teaspoon [5 mL] garlic bits
- 3 tablespoons [45 g] butter
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon [15 mL] soy sauce
- 2 beef broth cubes
- 1 [10-ounce / 284-mL] can cream of mushroom soup concentrate
- 1 cup [250 mL] water
- 8 ounces [227 g] cream cheese, into cubes

- Cut steak into 1 x 1/2-inch [2,5 x 1,3-cm] strips.
- Mix steak strips into already mixed together flour, pepper, salt and garlic bit.
- Add to crock pot, along with butter, chopped onion, soy sauce, beef broth cubes, cream of mushroom soup concentrate and water.
- Cook on low for 4 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Add cream cheese cubes to mixture.
- Cook for 30 minutes more.
