Bean Soup
  • 1/2 pound [227 g] Northern beans
  • 4 cups [1 L] water
  • 2 [8-ounce / 227-mL each] tomato sauce
  • 2 medium peeled potatoes, diced
  • 2 peeled carrots, shredded
  • 2 small onions, diced
  • Ham dices, to taste
  • Seasoned salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Water, to soak beans
  • Soak beans overnight into enough water to cover.
  • Drain then transfer beans into a crock pot.
  • Pour in 4 cups [1 L] water and tomato sauce.
  • Mix in potato dices, shredded carrots, onion dices and ham dices.
  • Season mixture with seasoned salt and pepper, then stir.
  • Cook on low all day.
