- 1/2 pound [227 g] Northern beans
- 4 cups [1 L] water
- 2 [8-ounce / 227-mL each] tomato sauce
- 2 medium peeled potatoes, diced
- 2 peeled carrots, shredded
- 2 small onions, diced
- Ham dices, to taste
- Seasoned salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Water, to soak beans

- Soak beans overnight into enough water to cover.
- Drain then transfer beans into a crock pot.
- Pour in 4 cups [1 L] water and tomato sauce.
- Mix in potato dices, shredded carrots, onion dices and ham dices.
- Season mixture with seasoned salt and pepper, then stir.
- Cook on low all day.
