- 2 cups [500 mL] large pieces potatoes
- 2 cups [500 mL] large pieces carrots
- 2 cups [500 mL] celery
- 1 bag frozen small onions
- 1 slice white bread, into pieces
- 1 [16-ounce / 454-mL] can whole tomatoes, with juice
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] dry minced onion
- 3 tablespoons [45 mL] quick cooking tapioca
- 1 tablespoon [15 g] sugar
- 1 [10-ounce / 284-mL] can creamy tomato soup concentrate
- Salt and pepper, to taste
