- About 2 to 3 1/2 pounds [900 g to 1,6 kilos] small chunks chuck roast
- 5 medium potatoes, diced
- 5 carrots, diced
- 1 large onion, diced
- 4 or 5 sticks celery, chopped
- 1 can tomatoes
- 1 small can corn kernels, drained
- 1 small can string beans, drained
- Salt and pepper, to taste

- Mix together all ingredients into a slow cooker.
- Cook on 'HIGH' until the mixture starts to boil.
- Turn on 'LOW' and leave to cook all day.
