Pork Chops with Herbs and Garlic

Comments: An excellent and really easy way to cook pork chops and get tasty, really tender chops with a terrific taste of herbs and garlic.
If you feel that these pork chops will be too tasty, mix together olive oil, chicken broth and garlic with only half of the herbs and spices; taste mixture 1 hour before serving and mix in some or all of remaining herbs and spices to suit your taste.

  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] olive oil
  • 1 cup [250 mL] chicken broth
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon [15 mL] paprika
  • 1 tablespoon [15 mL] galic powder
  • 1 tablespoon [15 mL] poultry seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] dried basil
  • 4 thick boneless pork chops
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Into a large bowl, whip together olive oil, chicken broth, minced garlic, paprika, garlic powder, poultry seasoning, dried oregano and dried basil.
  • Pour mixture into a slow cooker.
  • Cut small slits into each pork chop with the tip of a knife.
  • Lightly salt and pepper pork chops.
  • Arrange pork chops into slow cooker and put on lid.
  • Cook on 'HIGH' for 4 hours, basting pork chops periodically with the sauce.
