- 2 pounds [1 kg] ground beef
- 1 cup [250 mL] chopped onion
- 2 [10 1/4-ounce / 290-mL each] cans beef sauce
- 2 [796-mL / 28-ounce each] cans tomatoes, chopped with juice
- 2 cups [500 mL] water
- 1/4 cup [60 mL] Worcestershire sauce
- 1 [10-ounce / 284-g] pack frozen string beans
- 1 [10-ounce / 284-g] pack frozen carrots
- 1 [8-ounce / 227-g] bag medium egg noodles
- Salt and pepper, to taste

- Into a casserole, brown together ground beef, and chopped onion until soft.
- Drain excess liquid.
- Mix in beef sauce, chopped tomatoes with juice, water and Worcestershire sauce.
- Bring to a boil; mix in frozen string beans, frozen carrots and uncooked egg noodles.
- Bring once more to a boil.
- Cover and simmer for 8 minutes, to soften vegetables, and noodles.
- Salt, pepper and serve.
