Beef Casserole

  • 1 [16-ounce / 454-mL] can carrot slices
  • 1 [8-ounce / 227-mL] can whole potatoes
  • 1 [8-ounce / 227-mL] can cut string beans
  • 1/4 cup [35 g] flour
  • 1 pack dry onion soup mix
  • 3 cups [750 mL] beef dices
  • Reserving liquids, drain all vegetables.
  • Into a large casserole, mix together flour and dry onion soup mix.
  • Stir enough water into reserved drained vegetables liquids to get 3 cups [750 mL] liquid
  • Stirring, pour liquids into casserole.
  • Still stirring, bring mixture to a boil.
  • Leave to simmer, stirring for 1 minute.
  • Mix in drained vegetables and beef dices; cover casserole.
  • Leave mixture to simmer over low heat for approximately 10 minutes, until really hot, before serving.
